Original artwork description:

This large, plein air painting was created on a hillside near Fabriano in the Italian Marches region, close to the border with Umbria. I was inspired by the loose, high clouds above the orange and brown shades of the late summer Italian countryside -so different from the Northern European landscapes that I am so used to painting. And in the foreground there is a hardy fruit tree, bracing the hot sun and dry wind and knarled old vines on which the local Verdicchio wine grows.

This original plein air watercolour painting is painted on 650g, 100% cotton rag mould-made paper and comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
