Bus stops in the neighbourhood areas of Milton Keynes seem to me to be very lonely places. A few years ago I photographed several of these bus stops, some during the day, many at night when they feel eerier still, with the lights of passing vehicles streaming by, and the advertisement panels illuminated. Also, the buses once had a reputation for being late or not turning up at all, but they are better now. So this piece is an elegy on the loneliness of bus stops where the only other human companion might be in the picture in the advert, the title referring to the caption remarking on the prices of a well known underwear brand. During the day the numerous crows most often go about in pairs.
