Original artwork description:

This drawing stems from a type of doodling that perhaps many are familiar with or have tried at least once in their lives: dividing a circle into sections and then creating freehand lines within each section. At its core, it's a simple idea. I replicated it across multiple intersecting circles.

I aimed to develop this concept by introducing a sense of movement and lightness through the decomposition of forms, which I envisioned as being traversed and pushed by a wind. Parts of the circles transform into petals and scatter onto the background, evoking a floral motif. The pencil decorations on the background also aim to create an imaginative connection with flower stems and tendrils.

Another characteristic of this piece is the thickness of the support and the decoration of the edges. The doodling extends beyond the boundaries of the drawing, embracing the right edge of the support. This gives the piece a sense of three-dimensionality, imparting depth and material perception. The edges, in addition to carrying extensions of the drawing, are finely worked with silver leaf. This finish reflects ambient light, creating a subtle silver shimmer on the wall where the artwork is displayed, and a play of light and shadow around the piece itself.

This drawing is made on a wooden surface measuring 40×40 cm, mounted on a high-quality pine wood frame with a thickness of 38 mm. The materials used include Faber Castell graphite pencils, silver leaf, and colored markers.
