Original artwork description:

"The Lighthouse" is a painting I have done for pleasing my daughter who asked me to paint something blue for a change. While preparing the background, with the sky, suddenly an object appeared, so I have developed all the painting around that mysterious apparition. I won't name the object, for keeping the magic alive, even if it was tempting to name the painting after it.

This series of paintings is called "Flirtation with reality".
It's an evocation of nature and countryside, an evocation of natural landscapes, I made the realism more obvious than in the other paintings, pushing further the borders between abstraction and realism.
The hues used are less flashy, less colour contrasted (the transitions between colours are more subtle), tinted with a touch of melancholy. I want it more romantic, with a lingering feeling of nostalgia, but in a poetic way.
