It is end of September and the rose bush in my garden is still blooming intensively. Gorgeous! Somehow the deep red of the roses made my mind play the great Italian song of Peppino Gagliardi named Un amore grande. So I named the painting after this song

Un amore grande, grande come il mondo.
Mi portavi la bellezza di un mattino,
un sorriso nei miei occhi,
un sorriso che oramai non c'e piu.
Eri un amore grande, grande piu del mondo.
Cancellavi con un attimo di vita tutto il triste mio passato
come all'alba nasce un giorno dalla notte.
Prima c'eri tu,
oggi quante notti passo ad aspettare,
quanti versi improvviso nel sognare
stringendo un cuscino fra
le braccia e rivedo te.

This original painting is done in oils on stretched cotton/linen canvas with 2 cm depth. Canvas is gallery wrapped. Size 47x40cm. The sides are painted so the painting could be hang as it is without a frame if preferred. The painting comes unframed. It will be sent safely packed withing 4 working days after the purchase.
