I know the Lake District quite well having walked it for the last 17 years. Of all the lakes, Ullswater is my favourite: endlessly interesting and changing in the seasons. This painting is based on a photograph I took a few years ago looking across from the Eastern bank up the lake towards Place Fell. The reeds have turned autumn gold before reverting to their winter greys and there are a few leaves left on the lakeside trees.
I've used a palette of blues and neutrals with some bronze for highlights. This is acrylic on canvas, varnished and comes framed and ready to hang in a contemporary white frame.
Framed measurements are 40cm x 30cm x 3cm.
I’ve signed the back and it will be sent with a signed certificate of authenticity but please let me know if you would like it signed on the front and I’ll be happy to do so.
