I’m an artist from Ukraine, but now I have to stay in Poland.

Poinsettia is a beautiful flower native to tropical Mexico and Central America.
In many countries, this flower is a symbol of Christmas. Thanks to the red leaves that resemble stars, the poinsettia is also called the Christmas star.
A beautiful legend about the origin of a bright indoor plant dates back to the 16th century. A poor girl who had nothing to buy a present for Christmas, inspired by an angel, gathered a modest bouquet of weeds along the road and took them to the church. There they turned into beautiful poinsettia flowers.
For me, this flower is a symbol of Christmas and hope, which I draw so far from my native home, from my homeland.
