From the very beginning of the war in Ukraine, not only men-warriors and women-warriors, but also the forces of nature - every field, every blade of grass, house and forest - stood up to protect our land from the Russian invaders. We, Ukrainians, believe that our land itself powerfully defends itself. This beautiful woman in national Ukrainian dress with a weapon in her hands reminds me very much of Mother Earth, who defends her children and is able to stop enemies with just one of her deep and strong gaze. This is a magical woman from the depths of the earth, this is Ukraine itself, which has now become so strong and ready to defend itself strongly and loyally. That's why I named this female portrait "Ukrainian Valkyrie".
It has a rich palette of colors - bright red, yellow, white, blue are beautifully shaded against the background of basic black.
