Kutya is a sacred dish for Ukrainians. She accompanied us through the millennia, was at the festive table in the most difficult times, helped us feel the connection between generations and remains with us even now. There are different versions of kuti. But there is something constant: wheat, honey, poppy seeds, nuts, dried fruits. Thanks to this combination, a balanced and tasty dish is obtained, which is also full of symbolism. Because grain is life, honey is its sweetness, happiness, nuts and dried fruits are well-being. And the poppy, in general, was once endowed with magical properties and was supposed to protect against all evil.
