Acrylic painting of a view looking out over Uig Bay on the Isle of Skye in Scotland.
It was Autumn and I remember how cold it was at the time.
Normally I would use blues and greys for a scene like this.
This time I have tried to warm things up a bit by using autumnal colours such as copper and burnt umber.
The picture is heavily textured in parts.
I feel that the texture lends itself to the tactile and textural ambience of Autumn.
This painting is framed wire strung and ready to hang.
It is coated in two coats of protective varnish.
Materials used:
Acrylic paint with some texture medium
