Original artwork description:

Udon is a type of thick wheat flour noodle popular in Japanese cuisine. This painting was inspired by a holiday I took to Japan in 2015, and it's the latest in my series of pop art acrylic paintings on high quality unframed paper.

Udon is often served hot as a noodle soup in a mildly flavoured broth and comes with a wide range of toppings, but for mine I chose spring onions, spinach, and eggs - which is a strong theme of mine if you look at the rest of the items in my ArtFinder store! I've also added chopsticks sitting on top of the bowl.

The food is shown suspended against a sky blue background and painted in bright colours with black outlines around them, creating a graphic 'pop' style image.

It is painted in acrylics on thick acrylic paper. PLEASE NOTE: the painting doesn't come framed, but I've taken photos of it in a black A4 frame for display purposes.
