Uddhacca is a Pali word meaning restlesness. It seems surprising that we do not notice it on a daily basis, yet anxiety accompanies us at every step and every second. We try to alleviate this condition by buying peace of mind by accumulating savings, purchasing insurance, and pension funds. We care about safety on the road, at home, while playing with children, on water, in the air and on land. But the more we protect ourselves, the more subcutaneous restlesness we feel.
The Buddhist approach is completely different, it is based on three noble truths that say that everything is impermanent and passes away, that nothing brings lasting satisfaction, so whatever we acquire, our joy will be short-lived, and finally, that nothing in the world can be associated with with I, is not me, is not mine. And although the message of these truths seems to be negative, it fundamentally brings peace and is the basis for lasting happiness. Nothing is worth losing peace, nothing is worth worrying about, and nothing, including our lives, can be keept for ever. Phew… what a relief.
The work is painted on linen canvas stretched on wooden looms. I only use professional oil paints with the highest quality pigments that are resistant to fading. I prepare the medium myself to ensure that my paintings have bright colors and a noble shine.
The sides of the painting are painted continuously, so the painting does not require framing. The painting is ready to hang on the wall.
The signature is on the side of the painting, and on the back I placed the title and date of creation.
