These lovely old farm buildings line the main street in the village of Tulfes near Innsbruck, Austria. I spotted them while visiting my eldest daughter who now lives in that breathtaking region and thought that they would make a great subject for a watercolour painting. With their cosy facades topped by overhanging wooden eaves, they make a welcoming sight and I have painted them to portray the realistic worn state of some of the buildings and the overcast sky shrouding the distant mountains. This painting is one of a series of paintings created in beautiful Austria.

This original plein air watercolour painting is painted on 650g, 100% cotton rag mould-made paper and comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
