Original artwork description:

A clear February morning gave way to heavy cloud about an hour in to this painting. I decided to stick with the original light and work from memory to get as much done as possible finishing the painting back in my studio. I love this location with the two trees sitting like sentinels across a trackway which leads uphill across fields which are usually planted with wheat or barley. The work features expressive, impasto brush work and captures the subtlety in the late winter colours as Spring beckons. Oil on canvas board 16" x 20" signed on the front with certificate of authenticity and varnished.
