This is a surrealist-type painting with birds. I love painting birds in various backgrounds.
I collect glass and china cups; the bowl is inspired by the Art Nouveau era. I use gold leaf sometimes in my paintings, giving them a lovely glow. Starling feathers have a beautiful iridecence to them.
