This is a painting is of one of my favourite places in Arrandene Open Space, in Mill Hill, North London, where I often walk, especially during the lockdown. I love this particular place for many reasons. These two oaks are magnificent giant creatures creating some sort of a gated entrance and inviting you to follow a shaded path between the trees, leading to a beautiful field. This place always capture my attention. The path is facing East, where the sun rising in the morning shines its light through the foliage of the trees. It is so grand and appears to me a little magical and full of symbolism in its invitation to step into 'unknown' and to follow the path to the light ahead.
