The little wren is unfortunately on the endangered bird list.

Having re-wilded our garden, we have recently spotted four separate wren families.

This makes me so happy 🙂

The message of this painting is peaceful, and the creation of the painting is a mindful exercise in itself. The canvas is covered in several layers of gold acrylic paint and each layer is gently sanded to create a beautiful smooth surface before painting each bird with oil paints and fine brushes.
