Original artwork description:

A lone boy stands at the edge of the surf, his bare feet sinking into the warm sand as he surveys the waves crashing in the distance. He clutches tightly onto a brightly colored surf mat, eagerly waiting for his friend to join him.

Soon enough, his friend appears, wading through the shallow water towards him. The first boy greets him with a smile and a quick explanation of their plan: he will use the mat to pull his friend out into the deeper water, where they can catch the best waves together.

Celebrating childhood memories of summers spent at the beach, this painting is completed with a palette knife to provide bold color, texture and movement.
