Interpretative painting of two magpies sitting on posts. The title Two for Joy is taking from the nursery rhyme, with gold paint indicating the myth of magpies being attracted to it. Magpies tend to mate for life and are considered a lucky bird in the Far East.

Painted in acrylics, on deep canvas of 4.5cm, 60cm x 60cm. Sides painted, no need to frame.

Please note that this artwork has been repaired by the artist. There was a small slit in the canvas, now invisible, so it in no way impinges on your enjoyment of this artwork. The piece of canvas used to reinforce at the back is necessarily far larger than the slit was.
