This painting was created way back in 1991 on a piece of found hardboard/ ply. The painting was experimenting with various ways Picasso would place heads in various forms, in this case I placed two heads together, looking in the opposite direction. I think at the time I had been playing around with layering people's portraits in the darkroom, using several negatives together and exposing, and these experiments transferred into some of my painting at the time.
More of these experiments can be read about in my book: Art as Transformer.
