Winter is coming, and the Cardinals always stay here. I love their songs, their energetic chirping that comes with sunrise. A female selects her spot, and the male hopes he will be allowed to stay a while. Soft snowflakes drift down.
This is a framed work, oil on panel. The painting is 12x16". Impasto strokes and a pronounced texture to the paint. The frame is from my local art store. They buy frames from small shops in North Carolina. This frame is fancy to contrast with the simplicity of the scene. The frame size is 16x20". Signed on the back, comes with COA.
