These two exotic birds are bathed in color and design. They are perching on a branch that is black to add a contrast with the vibrant colors. The leaves are black and white which add a contemporary or modern look to this exotic bird painting of a parrot and cockatiel.
This contrast between reality and fiction adds a more dramatic look to this exotic bird painting.

This art piece is strictly out of my imagination, however, the birds and leaves have a realistic presence to them and the technique of combining the looseness of acrylic with the hard outlines of the black ink designs is a technique just used only by me in my artistic expression.
