Original artwork description:

Acrylic painting depicting light fall onto the sea near portree Bay on the Isle of Skye in Scotland.
Quite an impressionistic painting more of a memory of the scene than a pictorial representation. This painting was painted from an old sketch and finished off in my studio.
I have tried to capture mood in this scene - the last light in the sky before evening sets in and darkness falls.
Here is a landscape where there is little distinction between the land sea and sky and edges are becoming blurred into one scene.
Only with the beach in the foreground is there any real distinction where I have created texture to represent the shore and breaking waves.
This painting has been finished with two coats of protective varnish.
