In this watercolor, I set out to capture the serene magic of an evening by Lake Garda. The sky unfolds in soft washes of pink and purple, its delicate hues mirrored on the tranquil, glass-like surface of the water. Towering in the distance, the dark, imposing silhouettes of the mountains create a striking contrast with the gentle, golden glow of the setting sun, while tiny flickers of light scattered along the far shore add a sense of warmth and quiet presence.

A tall, graceful tree rises like a silent guardian, standing watch over the peaceful shoreline where small groups of people gather, savoring the fleeting beauty of dusk.

Through this piece, I wanted to convey a mood of gentle stillness and introspection, touched by the bittersweet melancholy that often accompanies the day’s final light. It’s an invitation to pause, to breathe, and to lose oneself in the tender embrace of twilight, where memories and dreams quietly intertwine.
