Twilight at Sennen 

I just love Autumnal Sunsets at Sennen Cove framed by mist and a moody darkening sky, giving the evening a wonderful magical quality. There is nothing better than standing on the beach and looking out to sea and watching the sunset unfold. This picture is slightly textured giving it a feeling of depth and helping conveying a sense of movement.

Background

This series of paintings is my largest ever project as I am painting 365 artworks of Sennen Cove. One for each day of the year. I have been inspired and captivated by this beautiful, magical bay in a remote part of western Cornwall near Lands End.

Many of these paintings have been published in my recent book called “A Moment in Time”

No two days are the same and each painting endeavours to catch a moment in time using abstraction to convey a sense of mood, time and place.
