The Tuscan Emilian Apennines, or rather their foothills near the city of Bologna, are extremely picturesque. The amazing transparency of the air is amazing.
The painting was painted using classical oil painting technology. Impasto strokes using a palette knife. The painting is painted on a primed MDF panel, which gives it additional rigidity.
