Painting size (W x H x D): 27 x 19 x 2 cm (10.6" x 7.5" x 0.78").
Unframed but ready to hang as sides of the canvas are painted.
The Avon Gorge was formed during the last ice age. The Avon Gorge is a 1.5-mile (2.5-kilometre) long gorge on the River Avon in Bristol, England. The Clifton Suspension Bridge is the symbol of the city of Bristol. The bridge is built to a design by William Henry Barlow and John Hawkshaw, based on an earlier design by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. It first opened to the public on 8th December 1864. The view is incredible. I will probably never stop painting it.
I often apply thick paint straight onto the painting surface using so called 'impasto' technique that compliments painting wet-on-wet or alla prima, which means 'in one go'.
