Original artwork description:

Flower of life is considered to be a form of sacred geometry that depicts the basic forms of time and space. Sacred geometry refers to the geometric patterns and laws that create everything in the universe. It is believed that the Flower of Life symbol is a visual representation of the interconnectedness of life and all beings. It is literally a circle made out of circles. It depicts how all life comes from one singular source - represented by the circle in the middle of the pattern. Many claims that meditating upon the flower of life promotes healing and inner peace.

Creating this Flower of Life I used a material that is not common for me: acrylic paintings applied mostly with an art knife. The main idea behind this experimental creation was to achieve a visual sensation of shiny vibration of the geometrical flower symbol. To get that uneven, moving-like covering of the acrylic painting, often I used my finger to apply or to spread the colour over the paper. Same with the watercolour pencil, to obtain a blur and slightly smudged effect I washed it partially away with my finger (you’ll notice it on the stem of the flower).
