Artwork description:

This image makes a spiral around the composition. The textures are like weathered washed shells in a rich indigo blue and the smooth screen-print blend has a change of autumn light.
There is a pivot point at the rule of third to balance the composition.
The images started off as an ink drawing onto film which was then exposed to a light sensitive polymer plate. After printing the edition, I set about screen-printing on top with the blend and the shadow. It is good to stop and think before you plunge ahead with certain preconceived ideas and I am glad I did.

photopolymer plates and screenprint with printmaking inks paper on Somerset printmaking paper
