Impressions, a fresh look and interesting characters are the most precious things you can bring back from your travels.
In Turkey, I was fascinated by the fabulous beauty of Cappadocia.
I met a tall graceful girl, when I took the tour. Her face was extraordinary: lively and passionate. I extremely wanted to paint her portrait.
But I was too embarrassed to say, "Hey! I am a painter. Let me paint you?". Then I made a crazy photo hunt for her and her friend. She's in a lot of my vacation shots. The quality of the photos turned out to be poor, not enough for a portrait, I shot her from a distance. But from these shots, I was able to paint this small tea party in a Turkish cafe in the Ihlara Canyon.
