The light in this painting is coming from all sides since IST has typical blinding white airport lighting. The idea was to capture the satisfaction of finding a good coffee after a long flight..if coffee is an indicator of the degree of civilization, Turkey is right up in the winner's circle..I used thick paint for the white marble - the painting has a textured finish.. Warming up after 2-week break from painting
