Turkey – Reduction Linocut Print – Limited Edition

This is an original handmade linocut print of a turkey surrounded by flowers.
Available in a limited edition of 10 prints.
It is printed using Caligo Safe Wash oil-based ink in 8 layers.

Print dimensions: 30 x 30 cm
Paper dimensions: 35 x 40 cm

You can choose to have the print delivered with or without a frame.
The framed version includes a white mat (passe-partout) measuring 30 x 35 cm.
The frame is 40 x 40 cm.

I spent over two months designing and printing this piece.
My inspiration and style reflects the the Art Nouveau Style of William Morris and Alphonse Mucha, whose beautiful prints I greatly admire.
My studio is located in a rural area, where I can hear sheep, horses, and goats as I work on my paintings. I love animals, which is why I enjoy painting them so much.

This is a varied edition. Each print is hand-pressed and slightly different. I may have used the roller in a unique way or mixed a color slightly differently.
To help you choose, you can select the specific edition to view an enlarged photo of that particular print.

This is a reduction linocut, meaning that more of the lino is cut away for each color layer. Once a layer is printed and the lino is further carved, there is no going back—mistakes cannot be corrected or changes made. This requires careful planning and attention to detail. This piece includes 8 cutting and printing layers.
