The energy in this painting was inspired during a sailing excursion on Lake Placid. This painting is in three sections (triptych) which is easy to transport and lightweight. The technique is in three sections as well - the bottom third of the painting combines pine needles and soil into acrylics; the middle section is a frottage technique (paints manipulated with plastic) and the top third is an acrylic wash.
