Original artwork description:
Painted in 2020, during isolation and racial strife, this piece took on the mood of the moment - turbulence. Through a layering technique, I have incorporated Acrylic paint, Collage, Image Transfers, and marks from various mark making tools into this painting. After applying each layer, I scrape and sand to reveal earlier layers. In this way, I build up a rich surface, full of history.
This piece is on a 1” cradled wood panel. This painting is sealed with a UV Topcoat for protection.
