Original artwork description:

I used very rich and vibrant colours in this painting and worked the paint in a raw and instinctive way. The deep grey resembles the colour of storm clouds which adds an element of drama. The organic flowing bush strokes create the appearance of movement. I feel there is a lot of emotion in this painting that has emerged from the nature of the painting process.
I started by mixing a selection of colours and applying them horizontally across the middle of the canvas. I then began to blend and rework until I was happy to blend in my deep grey from the outer edges in.
