Tulip Bounty or "The Field Where I Took a Photo of my Husband Surrounded By Tulips."
We'd been on a trip to a tulip packing factory, had the talk, marveled at the tulips being packed into bunches for the supermarket, and then we were let loose in the tulip fields. A real treat. In this region we are surrounded by bulb fields but I've never dared walk among them. We delicately walked between rows and took loads of photos.
I've painted this with thick impasto oil paints using bold, expressive brush strokes.
Unframed, but the sides are painted and it is furnished with D rings and cord so it is ready to hang.
