Original artwork description:

This painting is a symbolic representation of the iridescent green, and blue feathers of one of New Zealand’s most-loved birds the 'Tui'. The Tui is easily recognisable with its unique white feather tuft that sits under the neck. The English translation for the Maori word "Aroha" is "love".

Because of their personality, the Tui are associated with life fulfilment, confidence and spiritual harmony. In Māori culture the Tui has powerful significance. They act as messengers to the gods in the heavens.

I particularly admire nature’s curves, beauty, and mystery, all of which I try to capture in my work.
