On that day, I wandered the streets of the city for a long time in search of a subject for a painting. I hadn't planned to paint the Central Universal Department Store (TsUM). But when I sat on a bench to rest near TsUM, I noticed that the building was interesting both in its design and color, something I hadn't noticed before. As I prepared to paint, starting from the sky and gradually moving to the foreground, suddenly a cloud appeared. The surroundings took on completely different shades. I rapidly changed the color of the sky because the new hues were incredibly beautiful. When I finished the painting, satisfied with capturing the colors, I signed it, and the first raindrops fell on my palette. Then it poured so quickly that by the time I gathered my belongings in my backpack, my clothes were thoroughly soaked. I rode home on the metro, wet but happy that I managed to capture the "pre-rain" state – it's always very beautiful.
