This original artwork was commissioned in 2008 for the Times T2 newspaper. It accompanied a short story in the magazine, entitled 'A True Love Story', by the popular novelist Jilly Cooper.
A far cry from the bodice-ripping style of her novels, this charming little tale told of a young boy's close attachment with his pet bird. Jilly was a fan of the illustration, and used it on her website for a while.
