Here in Florida, beach living permeates our mood, our lifestyle, our outlook, so I have painted this series of abstracts in simple, bold, organic shapes and intense colors that we associate with the tropics. I have used black and white because of the sharp contrast between sun and shade. This first painting in the series was done on a canvas panel, but the rest of the series will be done on stretched (0.625)canvas. This series has been given a satin varnish for protection.
