I have been wanting to do a large abstract for some time, but spent far too long dithering on what the subject matter was going to be. But then a recent visit to Kew Gardens and the Palm House and Princess Diana Conservatory sorted out my block and I came away with so many ideas that I may now have enough ideas for a series of abstracts based on these amazing plant forms.
This is my third print of Tropical shapes, which is a layering of colours and shapes using the monoprint method and then the dark plant shapes are cut from a Lino block.
Please be aware that as this is a handmade and hand pulled print that you will see marks and faint thumbprints; making it all the more authentic and genuinely 'handmade'.
This is a large print so I will be shipping it rolled in a sturdy tube.

Somerset satin 300gsm and oil based inks
