This multi-layered highly textured painting is created on canvas. Painted with acrylics and sand onto a plaster base, 'Tropical Gardens' is a contemporary abstract of floral designs in bright colors that become somewhat subdued on the deep teal background. This painting is wired to be hung either vertically or horizontally. Size is 36x48 inches with contemporary 1.5" sides that are neatly painted in the deep teal. The piece has 3 coats of matte poly-acrylic sealer and is made to last.
'Tropical Gardens' was inspired in my back yard as my studio is surrounded by a lush private tropical garden. Many painters come to do Plein Air studies here and this is one of them.
