Artwork description:

Following the call of the North, in autumn 2022, on board of my van "Cosmos", I drove up to the northernmost lands of the European continent, far beyond the Arctic Circle.
For about two months I vagabonded through marvellous and pristine landscapes in one of the less inhabited areas in Europe, exploring its most recessed corners and getting inspired and struck by the magic shades of light that can be only found at certain latitudes.
The result is a photographic project on the road, a collection of over 70 pure landscape photos of the "arctic" places I visited above the 66th parallel.

TROMS OG FINNMARK #17 evokes a serene and dreamlike atmosphere, where land, sea, and sky dissolve into one another through a delicate interplay of muted tones. The photograph exudes a painterly quality, reminiscent of impressionist art, where the artist captures fleeting light and emotion over precise detail.
Layers of clouds sweep across the canvas in fluid strokes of soft grays and blues, while the water and distant landform appear veiled, blurred as though seen through a gentle mist.

The wide horizontal expanse of this fine art print on canvas (100x66) amplifies the feeling of openness and tranquility, making it ideal for spaces that benefit from contemplative and meditative art.
A thin black metal frame or a minimalist natural wood floating frame would complement its subdued palette, allowing the image to breathe and emphasizing its ethereal aesthetic without overwhelming it.

In modern living rooms, positioned as a centerpiece above a neutral-toned sofa or mantel, this piece would create a calming focal point.
Also in minimalist bedrooms, above the headboard or a clean-lined dresser, the artwork would infuse the room with a sense of peace and subtle grandeur.
