Original artwork description:

This trompe l'oeil painting features a resting black cat and mice wanting to look at it. Mice are standing on the painting's illusionary frame. For this painting, I applied several layers of paint to the canvas in classic oil painting technique. I used a strong light and heavy shadows to create depth in a painting and a centre of interest. Frame and hanging hardware are included.
