Original artwork description:

This trompe l'oeil depict realistically rendered painting of british shorthair cat and butterfly in both real and illusionary frames. The cat is climbing out of the circle hole erasing the boundary between image and reality. For this painting, I applied several layers of paint to the canvas in classic oil painting technique. I used a strong light and heavy shadows to create depth in a painting and a centre of interest. Frame and hanging hardware are included.
