Triptych “Gems Eye Collection” is a part of my project “Roundification” where I fit into a circle anything I get inspired by, creating a mandala image through developing a thematic pattern. The circle is a very powerful universal symbol. It represents the notion of wholeness, original perfection, the infinite, protection, the self, timeless…
Creating eye images is one of the favourite themes of my art. An eye is one of the most powerful symbols known to many cultures. It can be an indicator of good, protection, wisdom, knowledge, limitless vision, secrecy and mystery. This collection represents the eye in a quite schematic and geometric way of perfection of a well cut and beautiful precious gem stone: emerald, sapphire and ruby.
