This piece is part of a new series on which I'm working that combines sand-cast aluminum with wood. Most of the wood used in the series comes from an apricot tree in my backyard that split in half a few years ago; and the aluminum is from salvaged cans, aluminum foil, and a variety of discarded aluminum objects. Thought-provoking art through recycling.
