The interior painting "Trinity Cathedral of the Pochaev Lavra" was drawn from nature during my cycling plein-air travel across western Ukraine in the spring of 2020.
I had the best self-isolation, I lived in a tent in the vicinity of Pochaev, every day I came to the open air and painted in the Lavra.
Trinity Cathedral is my favorite church of the monastery, because it was built in a neo-Russian style close to me by the project of the architect Shchusev, and the mosaics on the facade were made by the project of Viktor Vasnetsov.
I wanted to convey in my work the atmosphere of life around the church, the monks and pilgrims walking in the foreground, the spring-colored trees on the left and the bell tower on the right complement the composition and give dynamics to the static composition with the architecture of the church.
The work was painted by professional watercolors Maimeri Blu on 100% cotton watercolor paper 300 g/m2, which guarantees the durability of the preservation of the work under proper storage conditions, decorated under glass.
Also on my page you can see other original paintings painted from life during my plein air travels in Italy, India, Georgia, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey. And also see my paintings with flowers and still lifes painted from nature.
All the funds raised from the sale of my paintings are used to make my dream of a mobile workshop based on a minibus come true. Now I travel the world on a bicycle, it is very exciting, but for greater productivity I need a minibus in which I will live, travel and paint.
