Original artwork description:

In my work I combine acrylic and oil paints to create a world that hovers between figuration and surrealism. A dream sequence that immerses the eye in fine art and realism. The figures and their strange proportions explore the depth of human emotions and impressions. This painting will bring a powerful and evocative energy to any home, provoking thought while stimulating the imagination.

When I was a child, my grandmother had a statuette of a seated ballerina from the 1950s. The beauty and grace of this figure fascinated me even then. At some point I decided to create a painting with this porcelain figure in which this ballerina appears extremely large in comparison to two other male figures. My enthusiasm for this figure therefore shifts even more to the two examining male figures.

I was particularly interested in painting the shiny and smooth surface of the porcelain figure as realistically and realistically as possible, so I used an oil glaze technique in some places. It was particularly important to me to make the representation as realistic as possible in order to achieve a certain illusion for the viewer.

Thanks
Rudolf
