Original artwork description:

Artwork representing the portrait of Mario Luzi, executed entirely in pencil in a contemporary figurative style, inspired by my admiration for the well-known poet, playwright, literary critic, translator, film critic, Italian academic and appointed senator for life of the Italian Republic. To his memory a plaque has been placed in the basilica of Santa Croce in Florence, among the remains of the greats of history including Michelangelo Buonarroti, Vittorio Alfieri, Galileo Galilei and the cenotaph of Dante Alighieri.
